ROCHESTER — A Wayne County woman has been arrested in a methamphetamine bust in Livingston County.

In a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York, Acting U.S. Attorney James Kennedy Jr. said Tuesday that four people have been charged by criminal complaint with operating a methamphetamine conspiracy. Among them is Brandie Schumacher, 37, of Rose.

Also arrested were Kurt Redance, 26, and Kenneth Hoag, 55, both of Dansville, Livingston County, and Andrew Culliton, 37, of West Seneca, Erie County. All four were charged with possession with intent to distribute and distribution of methamphetamine and conspiracy to possess and distribute methamphetamine.

The charges carry a minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum of life and a $10 million fine. Redance and Hoag also were charged with maintaining a drug-involved premises, while Redance also faces a charge of possession with intent to distribute and distribution of methamphetamine on a premises where a child was located.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Katelyn Hartford, who is handling the case, said each of the defendants sold meth to a confidential source. Some of the sales were made at The Bone Yard, a scrapyard and mechanic workshop in Dansville owned by Hoag.

Sales also were allegedly made at Redance’s home in Dansville and in a parking lot in West Seneca. Hartford said Redance’s 3-year-old child was present during at least one of the buys at his home.

The defendants were arraigned in federal court before U.S. Magistrate Judge Marian Payson. Redance, Schumacher and Culliton are being held in a federal facility in Rochester, while Hoag was released to home detention with electronic monitoring.

The arrests came after an investigation by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police.
