On April 22, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers referred the 22-year-old U.S. citizen to a secondary inspection.

Officers and a canine team discovered 69.31 pounds of alleged liquid meth hidden within 27 bottles of juice and milk containers, according to the news release.

Officers seized the narcotics and arrested the woman, who remains in federal custody.

Progreso/Donna Port of Entry Director Carlos Rodriguez said in a news release:

The interception of this significant seizure is attributed to the primary officer’s experience and interviewing technique. I applaud our officers for their diligence, dedication, and everyday commitment to keeping illegal drugs from entering our country.
